Construction Team Leader – P&C Insurance Brokerage

We are seeking an experienced Construction Team Leader to lead and oversee the construction insurance division within a growing Property & Casualty insurance brokerage.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial lines experience with a focus on construction accounts, understands the complexities of construction insurance, and can effectively manage both clients and an internal service team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the team servicing construction-related commercial accounts
• Manage and support CSRs/Account Managers handling construction clients
• Review accounts and ensure policies are properly structured and serviced
• Handle complex or high-level client issues and escalations
• Work closely with producers on new business, renewals, and account strategy
• Review coverage needs, exposures, certificates, endorsements, and policy changes
• Oversee renewals and ensure accounts are marketed and completed on time
• Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters
• Ensure the team provides responsive, accurate client service
• Train, mentor, and support team members
• Monitor workloads, deadlines, and overall team performance

Requirements

• Strong P&C commercial lines insurance experience
• Construction insurance experience is required
• Solid knowledge of construction-related coverages, including General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella/Excess, and Property
• Experience handling complex commercial accounts
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or senior account management experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of certificates, additional insured requirements, endorsements, and contractual insurance requirements
• Excellent client communication and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines

Someone who really knows construction insurance and can be the go-to person for the department. They should be technically strong enough to guide the team on complicated accounts, but also have the leadership skills to manage people, keep accounts moving, and make sure clients are being serviced properly
