Job description
Gesher Human Services is a bridge to hope and opportunity for people at work, at home, and in the community. Gesher's workforce development, behavioral health, and inclusion programming serves all Metro Detroiters while meeting the needs of the Jewish community. The Quality Control Inspector performs daily quality inspections of contracted areas inside the Detroit Arsenal, identifies potential and actual problem areas in the contracted services provided, and measures and updates quality standards to ensure compliance with the current contract. Department: AbilityOne – Detroit Arsenal. Reports to the Director, Contracts. **Schedule:** 5:30am–9:30am, 20 hours per week. Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain a complete quality control program (QCP) to assure contract requirements are met, including documentation of inspections, results, and actions • Perform daily quality inspections of contracted areas and identify potential and actual problem areas in the services provided • Measure and update quality standards as needed to ensure contract compliance • Meet with government officials as deemed appropriate to discuss quality inspections and discrepancies Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Three to four years of janitorial experience with a documented work history performing custodial services preferred • Demonstrated experience in quality control and the ability to work with individuals with disabilities • Interpersonal skills sufficient to maintain productive relationships with participants, staff, government officials, and the public; composition skills sufficient to prepare required reports • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense security clearance and provide immunization records (MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB skin test) • Valid Michigan driver's license with a record meeting the agency insurer's safe driving standards • Ability to push and lift up to 50 pounds and to stoop and bend for up to four hours a day Note: This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
