Job description
Jewish Family Service of Colorado is a nonprofit human services organization that serves anyone in need, regardless of circumstances or religious beliefs. Founded 154 years ago, JFS offers more than 30 programs including food security, housing stability, mental health counseling, aging care, employment support, disability services, and farming. This position provides central intake services at the JFS Tamarac location in Denver for Community Resources for Stability, Boulder JFS Counseling, Aging Care and Connections, and Employment. The Navigator ensures callers and walk-ins are efficiently directed to community resources and connected to the agency programs that best meet their needs, collaborating with program staff to support successful service integration. **Schedule:** Full-time, temporary. The employment period runs approximately September 18 through December 11, 2026. This position is not eligible for benefits. Responsibilities: • Respond to all inquiry voicemails and emails generated through JFS main reception, and to walk-ins as they occur • Complete initial and secondary assessment forms depending on the services requested, and determine and verify income and eligibility • Create client records in the client database, including billing information and referrals • Collaborate with program coordinators, operations managers, and directors so clients are appropriately referred and integrated into JFS services, and assist existing clients with internal referrals • Maintain an electronic directory of all JFS programs with eligibility requirements and fees, plus a directory of community resource referral processes • Maintain data on internal and external referrals, and attend agency and department meetings **Pay:** $28 per hour.
