**Compensation:** Salary starting at $150K+, commensurate with experience **Location:** Lakewood, NJ (On-site) **Schedule:** Full-time **Position Overview:** The MDS Director will oversee all clinical reimbursement operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimal PDPM performance across the organization's skilled nursing facilities. This is an on-site leadership role responsible for guiding facility-based MDS teams, strengthening documentation practices, and partnering closely with clinical and administrative leadership to support resident-centered care. **Key Responsibilities:** • MDS Leadership — Direct and manage the full RAI/MDS process, ensuring timely and accurate assessments and submissions. • PDPM Optimization — Oversee PDPM accuracy, reimbursement strategy, and supporting documentation. • Interdisciplinary Collaboration — Work closely with nursing, therapy, social work, and administrative teams to ensure comprehensive resident assessments. • Compliance & Quality Assurance — Maintain adherence to federal/state regulations and internal quality standards; conduct audits and implement corrective actions. • Training & Development — Mentor and support MDS coordinators and clinical staff across facilities. • Documentation Review — Validate ICD-10 coding, care plans, and clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness. • Reporting & Analytics — Produce reports related to quality measures, reimbursement trends, and assessment accuracy. • Survey Readiness — Support regulatory compliance, survey preparation, and facility audits. **Qualifications:** • RN or LPN with extensive MDS/RAI experience; RAC-CT strongly preferred. • 3–5 years of MDS leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care. • Deep knowledge of PDPM, RAI guidelines, ICD-10 coding, and care-planning processes. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to work on-site in Lakewood, NJ. • Demonstrated success leading teams and managing complex clinical documentation workflows. **What Makes This Role Attractive:** • High-impact leadership — Shape reimbursement strategy across a growing, mission-driven care organization. • Predictable schedule — Centralized, office-based role with reduced travel demands. • Competitive compensation — Salary starting at $150K+, commensurate with experience. • Collaborative culture — Join a team committed to elevating care standards and improving resident outcomes. **Pomera Care** is a healthcare recruitment and consulting agency.
