Job description

American Jewish University is singularly focused on the future of Jewish life in North America, training the next generation of rabbis, educators, professionals, and lay leaders. The Executive Assistant supports the daily operations and activities of the President in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and will additionally provide support for AJU's 2050 Institute initiative. This role is ideal for a professional who is resourceful, proactive, exceptionally organized, and thrives on managing competing priorities. **Schedule:** 35 hours per week — 4 days in person in Sherman Oaks, Friday remote. Responsibilities: • Support daily operations for the President, including administrative priorities and efficient office operations • Serve as the primary front-facing representative of the President's office, greeting guests and coordinating access • Coordinate complex calendars and scheduling, prioritizing engagements against stated goals • Act as liaison between the President and internal and external stakeholders; screen and prioritize calls, messages, and requests • Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and meeting notes; track action items and follow up on deadlines • Support special projects including the 2050 Institute, maintaining project plans, tracking tools, and status reports Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years supporting senior leadership • Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and HubSpot • Higher education or nonprofit experience highly preferred • Meticulous attention to detail and strong project management skills • Must be authorized to work in the United States Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually Benefits: • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Retirement plan participation • Paid time off and other employee benefits
