Youth Engagement Coach at Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services

The Youth Engagement Coach provides in-person crisis response and ongoing support to adults, youth, and their families who are experiencing legal involvement. Clients have significant behavioral and emotional difficulties requiring extensive support and individualized services to reduce recidivism, overcome systemic barriers, and successfully connect with wrap-around services. The role also supports law enforcement in reducing the number of officers deployed to non-emergency situations. **Schedule:** Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Responsibilities: • Provide an in-person response to active 911 calls alongside law enforcement, for youth, adults, and their support networks • Assess a client's level of risk to self and others, and their ability to care for themselves • Provide information, referral, and follow-up for counseling, psychiatric, financial, employment, parenting, and housing services • Coordinate with clients and community providers to ensure client needs are met • Transport clients and families to hospitals, shelters, appointments, and other community settings Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field • Previous experience in youth-related services, crisis intervention, mental health, or substance abuse preferred • Ability to work in a stressful environment, including potential exposure to verbally or physically aggressive clients • Knowledge of community resources; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records • Must obtain and maintain CPR and First-Aid certifications • Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and ability to use a personal car to transport clients Salary: $50,000 Benefits: • 15 PTO days per year and 13 paid holidays • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus a healthcare concierge • Immediate eligibility for a 403(b) with 25% match • Paid life/AD&D insurance, accident and hospital indemnity coverage • Mileage reimbursement and continuous professional development
