Fine Arts Education Program Manager at Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center

The Mizel Arts and Culture Center is looking for a full-time year-round experienced Fine Arts Education Program Manager to support all arts programming offered including classes, art gallery oversight, and camps programming. This is an opportunity for a self-starting, passionate, and business-minded individual to make an impact on their community. The Fine Arts Education Program Manager will oversee the administrative and operational functions of the Ceramics Studio, Fine Arts Program, Mizel Gallery, annual ceramics sale, and the on-going JCC Lobby Retail space, and will supervise a small team of ceramics instructors, Fine Arts instructors, studio assistants, and contractors. Some evening and weekend hours required. Salary: $59,000.00 - $65,000.00/year Responsibilities: • Oversee administrative and operational functions of the Ceramic Studio and fine arts offerings, including ordering supplies, scheduling kiln firings, P&L oversight, and people management • Develop, plan, and implement programming including classes, workshops, exhibitions, and private engagements • Recruit, train, and supervise part-time employees, independent contractors, and volunteers • Provide technical expertise and safety know-how to ceramic students, staff, and contractors • Work with the MACC Program Director to develop an annual studio budget and drive revenues • Organize and manage all aspects of the Annual Ceramics sale (typical revenue $15,000 over 6 days) • Lead instruction for ceramics courses including wheel throwing, hand building, and glazing Qualifications: • BA or BFA in Ceramics, Studio Art, Fine Art, or related degree; equivalent professional experience considered • Previous studio management, staff supervision, and administrative experience (minimum 3 years preferred) • Experience in art, design, and/or ceramic education or production • Strong practical skill in basic and advanced ceramics techniques • Strong written and verbal communication skills Benefits: Medical, dental and vision with employer contribution; 100% employer-paid Basic Life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability; 401(k) with 50% match up to 3%; paid time off from day one plus paid holidays and up to 6 floating holidays; complimentary family gym membership.
