Homemaker - Part Time at Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services

We are offering the Part-Time Homemaker a $250 sign-on bonus for new employees. The Homemaker is a non-exempt position responsible for the maintenance and management of assigned clients' homes, including performing homemaker functions and assistance with assigned housekeeping tasks. The primary goal of this position is to help the elderly and disabled in the Pinellas County area to remain living independently in their chosen home environment and avoid premature nursing home placement. **Pay:** $15.45 per hour Responsibilities: • Assist in household management tasks such as grocery shopping, cooking, reading mail, paying bills, and errands • Complete light home maintenance tasks such as house cleaning, laundry, trash removal, vacuuming and dusting • Assist clients with transportation to doctor's appointments where necessary • Provide written reports of client contact and services rendered • Provide companionship to elderly clients when required Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent, highly desired but not required • Experience working with the elderly or disabled and household maintenance and management, highly desired • Ability to work in diverse areas and with multicultural populations • Ability to lift and/or carry groceries, laundry, trash, etc. up to 30 lbs • Ability to reach, bend, crouch, stand and climb stairs while performing household tasks • Must pass the agency Level I and Level II employment screenings including drug screening and motor vehicle checks • Must have a valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage Benefits: Paid Time Off based on the number of hours worked; immediate eligibility to participate in 403b Savings Plan with 25% match; continuous training and professional development opportunities; mileage reimbursement.
