Job description

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, consultative, and highly strategic Senior Business Development Representative to drive new revenue, establish high-value strategic partnerships, and serve as a trusted data strategist for our key client stakeholders. In this role, you will transition away from traditional, transactional sales models to lead high-level technical and strategic engagements with senior executives (including CMOs, Heads of Data, Analytics, Privacy, and Research).

You will be responsible for articulating data interoperability, supply path efficiency, and the quality value proposition of Nielsen Marketing Cloud (NMC) Data Enrichment, helping clients bridge first-party data gaps across walled gardens and privacy-conscious environments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales & Demand Generation

Consultative Selling & Business Problem Solving: Adopt a consultative approach to sell business solutions rather than individual data segments, driving new demand and revenue growth.

Data Strategy & Gap Analysis: Act as a data strategist by analyzing client first-party data gaps (identifying what their CRM is missing about their customers) and mapping NMC segments to solve those specific voids.

Strategic Positioning: Position NMC segments as the essential "connective tissue" that enables brands to maintain a unified customer view as they navigate disparate walled gardens.

Demonstrated ROI (“Show” vs. “Tell”): Drive engagements using empirical proof, such as proven match rates and Data Clean Room pilots, rather than relying solely on traditional pitch decks.

Strategic Partnerships: Pursue and expand Retail Media Network (RMN) partnerships to supply off-site audience data, helping networks better understand their customers and attract non-endemic advertisers; Pursue and partner with brands directly to help CMOs and Analytics Heads improve customer insight for targeting, personalization, and strategy.

Technical Literacy & Data Interoperability

Executive Technical Walkthroughs: Articulate technical data flows from platforms into Data Clean Rooms clearly to senior leaders, including CMOs and Heads of Analytics.

Privacy & Compliance Communication: Explain Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) including differential privacy and salt hashing, in layman’s terms to successfully guide and reassure client legal and procurement teams.

Supply Path Optimization (SPO): Communicate the advantages of NMC’s data path, emphasizing superior match rates, reduced data leakage, and maximum supply efficiency.

Data Clean Room Integrations: Pursue clean room integrations that allow brands to overlap their first-party data with NMC segments to identify high-value targets without exchanging raw data.

Stakeholder Engagement & Co-Selling

Senior Executive Pitching: Directly target and pitch key decision-makers, including Heads of Data, Analytics, Privacy, and Research.

Collaborative Selling: Co-sell alongside DSP, SSP, and RMN partners to influence and expand data sales opportunities.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Work seamlessly within a team model alongside product sales specialists and account specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in enterprise solution selling - experience selling to brands directly is a huge plus

Demonstrated track record in consultative sales, establishing new logo partnerships and navigating intricate, multi-stakeholder deal cycles.

Executive Presence: proven ability to cultivate strategic partnerships and engage effectively with senior C-suite leadership.

Consultative sales acumen: adept at translating complex concepts into every day terms

Demonstrable experience in developing strategic business plans and executing them successfully.
