The Opportunity
Reporting to a 17 person Board of Directors, the next CEO will provide entrepreneurial leadership and will be charged with instilling a strong sense of belonging guided by Jewish values, formulating a new strategic plan with the Board and community, offering innovative programs suited to a changing Northeast Philadelphia, deepening donor and Board relationships, building on KleinLife's financial strength, strengthening internal infrastructure and operations, and promoting KleinLife externally across the Philadelphia social service landscape and with elected officials.
What We're Looking For
Genuine passion for and alignment with KleinLife's mission. The candidate does not need to be Jewish but must embrace Jewish values, and be mission driven and community oriented.
Leadership experience from a programmatic background (early childhood, senior services, or immigration and refugee services), healthcare, or the corporate sector.
Proven ability to develop, execute, and measure a strategic vision with a Board, staff, and external stakeholders.
A track record recruiting, retaining, and inspiring management teams and employees.
Experience with government grants and contracts, and a demonstrated history of raising gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Grant writing experience preferred; familiarity with the Jewish funding landscape is a plus.
An entrepreneurial, innovative orientation and evidence of developing new initiatives.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with cultural sensitivity across diverse communities.
Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to run a nonprofit like a business.
A confident, engaging public presence.
Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
