Job description

Responsibilities
Originates MEP Scopes of Work and participates in scope review meetings
Originates MEP installation and commissioning activities within the Project Schedule
Trains others on MEP systems
Determines the MEP subcontracting strategies for a project
Develops MEP bid package schedule with input from the design team and owner
Tracks progress of the MEP coordination process and ensures the deliverable meets contract requirements
Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
Supports a positive and inclusive work environment
Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the “Builder of Choice”

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5-10 years of MEP experience
OSHA 30 hour certified
Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to lead in a team environment and manage project subcontractors
Strong technical expertise and leadership for the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Ability to lead the commissioning process
Knowledge of the BIM Coordination and 3D modeling process
Ability to adapt to changing needs by utilizing excellent problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of risk management
Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
