Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Supply Chain operations, including but not limited to vendor relations, procurement strategies, distribution, and inventory management.
Develop and manage the annual supply chain and procurement budget, ensuring operational adherence and cost control.
Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives through strategic vendor negotiation, bulk purchasing, and efficient inventory management.
Oversee the reconciliation of vendor invoices and track supply chain spend across all facilities to ensure financial accuracy.
Draft, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies related to supply chain, inventory management, and facility operations.
Oversee comprehensive asset management, including tracking and managing all facility equipment maintenance schedules to ensure continuous operational readiness.
Manage the coordination, delivery, and strict return schedule of dosimetry (radiation tracking) badges for facility dental suites to maintain regulatory compliance.
Lead Supply Chain and related operations for new facility launches.
Provide dotted-line operational leadership and guidance to each correctional facility’s Operations Support Specialist (OSS) or equivalent position, who report directly to site-level leadership.
Conduct OSS leadership meetings at a set cadence to review process changes, improve cross-facility communication, and foster a positive organizational culture.
Build monitoring systems to measure operations and guide corrective actions.
Conduct compliance reviews and analyze audit findings to identify system gaps and develop solutions.
Develop inventory management systems and conduct facility audits to mitigate supply chain compliance risk and support operational efficiency.
Lead projects and recommend operational changes that impact Supply chain and other business needs.
Lead the implementation and roll-out of new Supply chain procurement operations, inventory management, and non-formulary requests.
Become the subject matter expert in the Supply Chain FCH App and guide all related implementations.
Maintains on-call availability and flexibility to travel frequently to various facilities.
Attends professional development conferences, workshops and planning sessions.
Performs other duties as assigned to support FCH’s goals, objectives and values.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

Knowledge and strong experience in spreadsheets (e.g., Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel) and data analysis (i.e., sorting, filtering, Pivot table, SUM, and Average).
Ability to exercise independent judgment in operational decision-making or process improvement.
Ability to evaluate complex operational issues and develop strategic corrective action plans.
Ability to analyze data, develop operational standards, and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
Ability to travel to correctional facilities for oversight and evaluation purposes.
Ability to lead the development and implementation of projects.
Ability to work autonomously, with the ability to identify problems, and create solutions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise policies and procedures.
Skill in maintaining accurate records, logs, and reports in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
Skill in identifying and resolving discrepancies in medication orders, inventories, and documentation.
Proficient in the use of pharmacy information systems, electronic health records (EHR), and inventory management software.

Requirements

Minimum Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
Three to five (3-5) years of supply chain or related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
