Job description

Overview

A rapidly growing commercial and residential real estate management company is seeking a strong Recruiter / HR professional to take ownership of talent acquisition and help build its internal people function.

The immediate priority is recruiting. This person will be responsible for proactively identifying and attracting strong talent across property management, leasing, hospitality, and corporate roles.

This is not a traditional recruiting role focused primarily on posting openings and managing applicants. The company is looking for someone entrepreneurial and resourceful who can think creatively about where to find the best people, build talent pipelines, and develop a strong recruiting operation from the ground up.

As the organization continues to grow, this role has the opportunity to expand into broader HR leadership and ultimately oversee the company’s HR function.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across the organization.

  • Recruit for leasing agents, property managers, hotel staff, and corporate positions.

  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies rather than relying primarily on inbound applicants.

  • Build and maintain pipelines of high-quality candidates for current and future hiring needs.

  • Partner closely with executive leadership to understand the business and anticipate talent needs.

  • Assess candidates beyond technical qualifications, with a strong focus on personality, judgment, potential, and organizational fit.

  • Develop thoughtful interview and candidate-assessment processes.

  • Build recruiting systems, workflows, and processes from the ground up.

  • Improve consistency and structure throughout the hiring process.

  • Support general HR and people-related initiatives as the role develops.

  • Help build the company’s long-term internal HR infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Strong recruiting experience required.

  • Proven ability to proactively source and attract talent.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.

  • Strong judgment and ability to assess people effectively.

  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and resourceful approach.

  • Thoughtful interviewer who knows how to ask the right questions and understand what motivates candidates.

  • Strong organizational and process-building abilities.

  • Comfortable operating in a young, rapidly growing organization.

  • General HR experience is a plus.

  • Real estate, property management, or hospitality recruiting experience is a plus but not required.
