International Admission Student Assistant

Description
Summary: The Student Assistant will provide administrative support to the department. In addition to performing miscellaneous clerical duties, the Student Assistant will also be required to answer phones and greet visitors to the office, taking detailed messages for staff follow-up as necessary. S/he will also be required to assist with various department projects as assigned.

-Greet and assist incoming visitors into the International Office
-Answer a wide variety of questions related to the department’s procedures and other general questions (training will be provided)
-General clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, shredding, and other office duties as assigned
-Assist with heavy volume of phones; periodic phone campaigns to students as per the department's initiative

-Enters data into Slate and working on Slate functions; such as managing events, student data entry, managing and updating electronic files

-Collaborate to set up student virtual and in-person sessions and events. Information session set up and set up for international events on campus

-Assist with social media marketing and engagement for recruitment and admitted students. Creating content videos with Pace information, recruitment initiatives, upcoming events, announcements, etc.

-Assist with managing the department social media platforms as well as communication platforms such as WhatsApp and WeChat

-Responds to all email/phone and queries in a timely manner

-Perform other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Reliable and patient with visitors
Office experience a plus
Ability to work independently
Strong customer service and organizational skills
