osition Summary
The Animal Caretaker maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment in the kennel, and other assigned areas.
This role directly supports Fora’s mission of creating and advancing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Essential Responsibilities

Provide care to security dogs and their kennels.
Responsible for care of animals, kennels and surrounding areas.
Disinfect kennel runs with a veterinary approved disinfectant including vacant kennel runs.
Scrub kennel run floor, caulking, sidewalls, and bed with disinfectant solution. Clean and disinfect the interior and exterior of all chain link fencing. This includes the top and bottom rails, interior and exterior of kennel run.
Maintain record of completion of kennel run cleaning/sanitizing on kennel cleaning record.
Scrub/disinfect kennel walkway and office floors bi-monthly.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated commitment to our mission of creating and advancing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Comfort working around dogs and adherence to all animal safety and welfare protocols.
Ability to work independently and follow detailed cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including: standing and walking for extended periods and bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Lifting, pushing, or pulling supplies and equipment as required for kennel maintenance.
Ability to work in environments with animals, including exposure to noise, odors, and cleaning/disinfecting agents.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to accurately complete required cleaning and sanitation records.
Reliability and punctuality, including the ability to work assigned shifts and required weekend schedules.
Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearance and attend customer required trainings.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently; work independently or as part of a team; adapt to changing environments and/or locations within the contract, schedules, and seasonal duties.
