Overview
The Social Media Specialist supports the planning, creation, and execution of social media content and campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness, audience engagement, and business growth. This role works closely with marketing and cross-functional teams to maintain a strong brand presence across social media platforms and help communicate the company's value to customers, prospects, and employees.

Your Impact
The essential functions of this position include:
Content Creation & Publishing
Create, schedule, and publish social media content across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Assist with the development of social media content calendars that support marketing campaigns, company initiatives and events.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather content, images, videos, and stories for social media channels.
Coordinate with creative agencies to develop engaging campaigns, graphics, videos, and digital assets.
Collaborate with the partner marketing team to schedule, promote, and amplify partner marketing initiatives across social channels.
Research and recommend emerging social media platforms, trends, and best practices to expand audience reach and engagement.
Monitor social media performance, analyze metrics, and provide feedback to marketing and include data in quarterly partner reports.
Review social media copy to ensure it aligns with brand guidelines and messaging.
Community Engagement
Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions.
Respond to inquiries and engage with followers in a professional and timely manner.
Escalate customer service issues or sensitive communications as needed.
Grow channel followers.
Analytics & Reporting
Track social media performance using platform analytics and reporting tools.
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports on key metrics, including engagement, reach, audience growth, and website traffic.
Identify trends and opportunities to improve content performance and audience engagement.
Campaign Support
Support the execution of organic and paid social media campaigns.
Assist with social media promotion of webinars, events, product launches, and corporate initiatives.
Collaborate with the digital marketing team to align social media efforts with broader marketing goals.
Market & Industry Research
Stay informed on social media trends, emerging platforms, competitor activity, and best practices.
Recommend new content ideas and engagement opportunities to support company objectives.
Monitor industry news, and competitor activity to identify content opportunities.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or related field.
0-2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with major social media platforms and best practices.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred
Internship experience in marketing, communications, or social media.
Experience with social media management tools such as Sprout Social.
Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
Experience creating content using Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
Experience with creating and posting content to SharePoint.
