The Sales Director at The Landmark is responsible for leading and driving sales performance across the market. In alignment with The Landmark’s commercial strategy, this role ensures the delivery of sustainable sales growth, elevated client experience, and strong operational execution, with full compliance.

The Sales Director combines commercial thinking with hands-on leadership to activate sales opportunities, build high-performing teams, and strengthen client engagement. They are responsible for leading and developing a number of Sales Managers and their Client Advisor teams, while ensuring consistent execution of the broader commercial strategy across the entire market.

The role requires a balance of client-centric thinking, people leadership, commercial acumen, and operational rigor, with a constant focus on execution excellence and pace. The Sales Director partners closely with the Commercial Director, Market Vice President, functional teams, and other store leadership to translate strategy into clear priorities and measurable outcomes.

They play a critical role in driving transformation across their area of The Landmark, supporting the adoption of new ways of working, embedding cultural and behavioral change, and ensuring consistency in execution. They champion a culture of accountability, clienteling excellence, and continuous development, while modeling the Company’s belief that People Make the Difference.

Business & Sales Leadership

Own and drive sales performance across an assigned area of The Landmark, ensuring achievement of targets and sustainable growth.
Translate broader commercial strategy into actionable priorities for Sales Managers and their teams, with clear accountability and disciplined execution.
Drive business through key product categories and strategic initiatives, with a strong focus on Icon growth, client recruitment, and quality of business.
Embed and reinforce a precise commercial strategy across sales teams, including appointment culture, conversion discipline, and productivity optimization.
Leverage understanding of local and international client base to identify and activate sales opportunities.
Monitor sales performance and business KPIs, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
Partner with the Market Vice President & Commercial Director to develop and execute initiatives that strengthen overall Landmark performance.

Client Development & Experience

Establish and reinforce a strong culture of clienteling with clear expectations and measurable outcomes.
Personally engage with top clients and lead by example in building and maintaining meaningful client relationships.
Coach Sales Managers and teams on client development strategies, appointment generation, outreach, conversion, and client retention.
Ensure consistent delivery of a best-in-class luxury client experience across all touchpoints.
Actively review NPS, client feedback, and qualitative insights to identify opportunities to elevate service standards.
Support strategies that strengthen client acquisition, retention, and long-term client relationships.

People Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, coach, and develop Sales Managers and their teams, strengthening leadership capabilities and succession pipelines.
Build, attract, and retain high-performing and diverse sales teams.
Drive a culture of accountability, recognition, and performance management aligned with business objectives.
Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to Sales Managers.
Partner with HR and leadership to address performance, employee relations, talent development, and organizational needs.
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-expectation environment that reflects the brand’s values.
Serve as a visible and hands-on leader, actively engaged with teams, leaders, and clients on the sales floor.

Operational Excellence

Ensure operational discipline and consistency across The Landmark, with complete adherence to policies and procedures.
Partner with Operations and support functions to enable seamless execution and remove barriers to sales performance.
Identify and implement efficiencies and best practices to enhance productivity and client experience.
Ensure strong operational execution with full compliance and audit discipline, including adherence to internal controls and risk management standards.
Drive pace and execution discipline across Commercial teams, ensuring timely delivery of priorities and consistency in standards.
Hold Sales Managers accountable for operational and commercial execution within their respective areas.

Cross-Functional & Landmark Leadership

Act as a key member of The Landmark leadership team, contributing to broader business strategy and decision-making.
Partner closely with the Market Vice President & Commercial Director to support the development and execution of broader Landmark commercial priorities.
Collaborate with regional and functional partners, including Client Development, Operations, HR, Merchandising, and other teams, to drive aligned execution and ensure business needs are met.
Share insights, trends, and opportunities from the sales floor to inform broader Landmark commercial strategy.
Support the implementation of new initiatives, processes, and ways of working across The Landmark.
Represent The Landmark with a strong internal and external presence, building relationships that support client development and business growth.

Qualifications

Leader with 8+ years of luxury/consumer goods retail or business management experience, with significant experience leading sales teams and managers.
Knowledge and experience of luxury/consumer goods, including jewelry, apparel, accessories, or cosmetics.
Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze performance and translate insights into action.
Demonstrated track record of success in leading and developing retail sales teams to maximize sales, productivity, and client engagement.
Strong people leader with the ability to assess, attract, develop, and retain top diverse talent.
Strong conceptual thinker with a pragmatic approach to driving day-to-day business execution.
Client-centric with an ability to drive a unique and consistent luxury shopping experience.
Proven ability to develop new client opportunities and maintain client relationships while supporting brand recognition and penetration in the market.
Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
