The Position Overview
The Cantorial Soloist will play a central role in enhancing the spiritual life of our community through music, leading worship services and supporting lifecycle and educational experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead musical portions of designated Shabbat Services approximately 22 Saturdays and select Friday evenings
Sing a blend of traditional and contemporary Jewish liturgical music
Collaborate with Senior Rabbi to enrich the worship experience
Tutor B’nei Mitzvah students – approximately 5 students per week
Qualifications
Strong trained vocal ability
Experience performing in front of congregations
Familiarity with Jewish liturgical music traditional and contemporary
Experience working with B’nei Mitzvah students perferred
