Job description
About the Role
This is a split role: two weeks each month you’ll be onsite supporting our client, Artscroll, in Rahway, NJ, and the other two weeks you’ll work on the Digacore helpdesk supporting clients across our portfolio. During your onsite weeks you’ll be the senior technician on the ground, owning everything from routine day-to-day support to escalated, complex issues across the client’s environment. That means handling day-to-day requests—password resets, user setups, printers, workstations, and general end-user support—alongside deeper work: digging into root causes, stabilizing systems, and driving lasting improvements. You’ll work hands-on across servers, networking, and cloud infrastructure while partnering closely with our helpdesk, engineering, and client success teams at HQ. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, communicating directly with end users (including leadership), and taking full ownership of the client’s IT operations in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do
Own the client’s day-to-day IT support—password resets, user creation/termination, printer setups, workstation issues, Office suite and Outlook troubleshooting, and general end-user requests
Own and resolve escalated issues across workstations, servers, networking, and cloud environments—onsite and remote
Troubleshoot and manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and DNS environments
Create and modify Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Intune / MDM policies
Manage user access, permissions, and security across SharePoint and file servers
Configure and manage enterprise firewalls and network security changes (port forwarding, ACLs)
Troubleshoot networking issues and outages (LAN/WAN, VPN connectivity, routers, switches)—beyond ISP-related issues
Manage and troubleshoot DNS records and related services
Monitor systems, investigate alerts, and proactively ensure stability and performance
Maintain accurate documentation in ConnectWise and IT Glue
Communicate clearly with end users and C-level executives, keeping them informed and confident throughout
Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to manage, improve, and secure the client’s IT environment
Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to strengthen the client’s systems
Perform any other assigned tasks
Job Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on IT support experience (MSP experience strongly preferred)
Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and end-user environments
Solid experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and user/access management
Experience creating and managing GPOs and Intune / MDM policies
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (VPNs, firewalls, WAN/LAN) with hands-on firewall configuration experience
Experience with SharePoint and file server permissions management
Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools (ConnectWise is a plus)
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset
Comfortable taking ownership and working through complex problems independently
Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant certifications a plus (A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.)
