Position Summary:
The Marketing Automation Architect plays a key role in influencing the strategic and technical direction for the Marketing Operations and Analytics teams within Adobe Marketo Engage and the marketing automation ecosystem at PointClickCare. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Analytics & Marketing Technology, this role defines the vision, architecture, and governance of the marketing automation platform while enabling scalable, data-driven customer engagement across the buyer lifecycle. The role combines platform architecture, solution design, technical leadership, and strategic consulting, partnering with Marketing, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, IT, Analytics, and Product Marketing to keep the MarTech ecosystem scalable, reliable, secure, and positioned for future innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
Platform Architecture, Strategy & Governance: Shape the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Adobe Marketo Engage; establish platform governance, standards, and best practices; identify technical debt and architectural opportunities; oversee platform health, performance, and administration.
Solution Design & Marketing Automation Delivery: Design and implement journey-based marketing programs, lifecycle automation, lead nurturing, segmentation, forms, landing pages, and reusable program templates; serve as primary technical consultant for Marketing, Sales Operations, and Customer Success.
Enterprise Integrations & MarTech Ecosystem: Own and optimize the Marketo/Salesforce integration (synchronization, lifecycle logic, field mappings, data integrity); manage integrations with webinar, event, LeanData, live chat, and CMS platforms; act as primary technical liaison with Adobe Marketo Support.
Lead Scoring & Lifecycle Management: Own the strategy, governance, and continuous optimization of lead scoring models and lifecycle frameworks in partnership with Sales Operations and Analytics to improve lead quality, conversion, and pipeline performance.
Technical Leadership, Security Communications & Enablement: Serve as subject matter expert and mentor for the Marketing Operations team; own governance of customer-facing security and service communications with Security, Product, Legal, and Corporate Communications; lead continuous improvement and AI adoption initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
8+ years of experience administering and architecting Adobe Marketo Engage within complex B2B enterprise environments.
Extensive experience designing enterprise marketing automation strategies, lifecycle programs, lead scoring frameworks, and scalable automation solutions.
Deep expertise integrating Marketo with Salesforce CRM and enterprise marketing technology platforms.
Demonstrated success establishing platform governance, standards, and operational best practices.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Marketing, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, and IT.
Adobe Marketo Engage Certified Expert certification required or strongly preferred
Strong analytical mindset, excellent troubleshooting and solution design capabilities, and clear communication skills.

Preferred Experience:
Salesforce certification considered an asset.
AI fluency and/or experience leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot to improve productivity, collaboration, and marketing operations.
Hands-on experience with LeanData, webinar platforms, and other event technologies beyond core Marketo/Salesforce administration.
Working knowledge of privacy regulations including CASL and GDPR, and of marketing analytics, attribution, and dashboard development.
