Job description

Summary/Objective:

Qellus is seeking a Business Process and Data Analyst to support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of internal business systems. This role partners closely with leadership to build and optimize system capabilities, ensuring data is accurately structured, maintained, and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate will understand data models, establish and document data governance standards, and ensure data quality and integrity over time. They will take a process-oriented approach, connecting data to the underlying business workflows it supports, while leveraging basic prompt engineering techniques to enhance system development, maintenance, and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions
Data Analysis
Gather, clean, validate, and load data into internal business systems, with attention to accuracy, structure, and long-term maintainability.
Understand and work within existing data models; identify gaps, relationships, and rules needed to support reliable reporting and business processes.
Create and maintain data governance standards, definitions, and documentation so data remains consistent, repeatable, and defensible over time.
Use reports, dashboards, and analysis to surface trends, anomalies, and process improvement opportunities for leadership and delivery teams.

Business Process Analysis
Elicit, document, and prioritize internal business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications that consultants and developers can build against.
Map current-state and future-state business processes; identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Support testing and validation to confirm delivered solutions meet the agreed requirements.
Act as a liaison between clients and delivery teams, keeping communication clear and expectations aligned.

Cross-functional Engagement
Contribute to a small‑firm environment by taking initiative beyond defined responsibilities to support client and team success.
Communicate progress, risks, and blockers proactively to the engagement lead and client stakeholders.
Bring findings and recommendations forward with humble confidence — grounded in the data yet, open to being challenged.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 3+ years in a data analyst, business analyst, or hybrid role
Experience working with data models, relational data structures, and data quality rules that support business processes.
Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data cleanup) for day-to-day data management.
Strong SAP ECC and S/4HANA process knowledge, with the ability to connect data fields, records, and system behavior to the business processes they support.
Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into clear documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting findings to clients and leadership.
Skills:
Comfort working within an existing data model, defining data governance standards, and loading data into a live system.
Basic prompt engineering skills — able to use AI tools effectively as part of day-to-day build, documentation and data work.
Strong process orientation — able to trace how a data field or record supports the business process behind it, not just how it's structured.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior experience in a consulting, professional services, or client-facing delivery environment.
Exposure to SAP ecosystem, SuccessFactors, MDG or BTM tool such as Signavio, LeanIX, and Cloud ALM
Familiarity with process mapping and requirements tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, Azure DevOps).
Experience working on a small team where roles span beyond a single job title.
Prior exposure to EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) or HR system implementations.
Exposure to OpenText ecosystem or other content management platforms.
