What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Assist with controlling visitor flow, directing individuals to appropriate locations, and communicating professionally with law enforcement, emergency responders, and site representatives when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
