Job description

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Development Associate to join our Washington, D.C. office and work closely with senior staff on donor relations, development, grants, and related organizational priorities.

This is a demanding position in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and requires someone who is professional, discreet, flexible, and exceptionally well organized. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who takes initiative, exercises good judgment, pays close attention to detail, and can successfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The position is currently expected to be full-time in the office, although some flexibility may be possible in the future.

Responsibilities
Drafting and managing donor correspondence and other high-level communications, working closely with organizational leadership based in the U.S. and Israel
Coordinating schedules, meetings, calls, and follow-up
Preparing and processing grant applications, proposals, reports, and related materials
Tracking grant and development deadlines and ensuring timely follow-through
Maintaining donor records and handling sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
Preparing materials for donor meetings, briefings, and outreach
Supporting donor research and cultivation efforts
Coordinating with staff on development-related projects and priorities
Providing additional support to senior staff as needed

Qualifications
At least three years of relevant professional experience; candidates with additional experience are strongly encouraged to apply
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong professional judgment and discretion
A demonstrated record of responsibly handling confidential donor, financial, or other sensitive information
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
The ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to changing priorities
A proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach
A strong work ethic and willingness to be a team player
Professionalism in dealing with senior staff, donors, and outside contacts
