Evaluate subcontractor bids, pricing and execution capability, and provide award recommendations to Project Management
Lead commercial negotiations with electrical subcontractors on scope, terms, pricing and change orders against the project estimate
Own and develop DEPCOM's relationships with electrical subcontractors, serving as their primary point of contact across the portfolio
Identify and qualify new electrical contractors and maintain a capable, resilient partner base
Monitor work concentration across the electrical partner base
Support Project Management on subcontract versus self-perform strategy
Provide market intelligence on electrical contractor capability, capacity and pricing
Escalate higher-risk commercial and contractual matters to the Director of Subcontracts
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience in electrical construction gained with an electrical contractor, as a subcontracts manager at an EPC, or in construction management, field engineering or project engineering at an EPC
Experience negotiating commercial terms, pricing or change orders directly with contractors or suppliers
Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
Experience developing or evaluating scopes of work and pricing for electrical construction
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifcations)
Utility-scale solar or electrical construction experience
Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term contractor or supplier relationships
Working knowledge of electrical balance of system, DC and AC collection systems, trenching and ground grid
Familiarity with high voltage scope and with directional boring
Experience with commissioning and testing
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business or a related field
