Location: Rockland County, NY (travel to Brooklyn office required as needed) Reports To: Executive Director Position Overview We are seeking a strategic, operationally driven Chief of Staff to help lead and strengthen the operational infrastructure of our growing healthcare organization. This position will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and organizational performance across departments. The Chief of Staff will serve as a key partner to the Executive Director and department leadership, helping oversee day-to-day operational execution while streamlining systems, improving workflows, and supporting scalable organizational growth. This role requires a highly organized, solutions-oriented leader with exceptional judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate complex operational and interpersonal challenges with professionalism and diplomacy. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare operations experience, strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary operational liaison between executive leadership and department directors. Oversee organizational operations, including workflow efficiency, productivity, KPIs, deadlines, and departmental accountability. Identify operational gaps and implement scalable process improvements to strengthen efficiency, communication, and service delivery. Analyze operational reports, performance metrics, and data to support strategic planning and informed decision-making. Partner with leadership to improve interdepartmental collaboration, communication, and organizational alignment. Foster strong working relationships across leadership teams while maintaining high standards of accountability and professionalism. Address complex operational and interpersonal challenges with diplomacy, sound judgment, and emotional intelligence. Serve as a proactive problem-solver to resolve operational barriers and support departmental effectiveness. Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, operational planning, and organizational growth efforts. Develop and strengthen systems, processes, and infrastructure to support continued expansion and operational stability. Ensure consistent execution and follow-through on organizational priorities, initiatives, and action items. Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of senior operational leadership experience within the healthcare industry. Strong preference for candidates with experience in home care, multi-specialty healthcare. organizations, healthcare centers, multi-service healthcare agencies, or health insurance operations. Demonstrated success implementing operational improvements, workflow optimization, and organizational change initiatives. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional emotional intelligence, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain composed, solutions-focused, and effective under pressure. Strong experience with operational analytics, reporting tools, and workflow management systems. Excellent organizational, project management, and leadership skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting platforms, and AI-based tools that support operational efficiency and process improvement. Ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume communication in a fast-paced environment.
