Job Summary
As a Production Supervisor at Shield AI, you will be responsible for leading production operations and teams to ensure efficient manufacturing, high product quality, and on-time delivery. You will drive operational excellence and support the successful execution of production schedules, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and scale manufacturing processes as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
Manage production schedules and coordinate resources to meet output targets and delivery deadlines.
Lead, coach, and develop production teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and support new product introductions, process improvement, and root cause analysis.
Monitor production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Oversee training and onboarding of new production team members.
Support special projects and manufacturing initiatives as the organization evolves and scales.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or operations leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to manage production schedules, prioritize tasks, and resolve operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Experience leading, training, and developing production or manufacturing teams.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices, quality control, and workflow optimization.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
High level of attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growth-focused organization.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years’ experience in manufacturing or production supervision, particularly in aerospace, defense, or technology-intensive environments.
Experience with process improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with ERP and production scheduling systems.
Experience scaling production operations in a high-growth environment.
