Assistant Operations Manager/Kosher Supervisor

Zelda’s Catering, a premier off-premise catering company, is seeking an energetic self-starter to join our company as the Assistant Operations Manager/Kosher Supervisor. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a hands-on position.

Responsibilities:

Open facility
Ensure drop off and event orders are packed out with all items present as indicated
Assist Production Manager with in house logistics, sourcing materials and coordinating pick up and return of event equipment
Assist Production Manager to route and create daily delivery schedule
Receive food vendor orders and inspect all food products brought into facility
Supervise production to ensure all products are prepared properly and practices are followed in accordance with the Chicago Rabbinical Council
Instruct kitchen employees on Kosher practices
Requirements:

Approved CRC Mashgiach or eligible for the CRC Mashgiach training course
Available to work flexible hours 5-6 days a week Sunday-Friday, Sunday and Friday are a must. 45-50 hours a week
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Excellent time management with strong attention to detail
Problem solving skills
English fluency. Basic level Spanish is a plus
Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours as needed
Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed
