About Capital Camps & Retreat Center
Capital Camps & Retreat Center provides transformative Jewish overnight camp and retreat experiences for children, families, and communities across the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition to summer camp, the Retreat Center hosts year-round programs for organizations, families, and community groups, serving thousands of participants annually.
The agency’s administrative offices are located in North Bethesda, Maryland, with its camp and retreat center situated in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
1–3 years of experience preferred in nonprofit work, fundraising, database management, administration, finance, marketing, communications, or a related field
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Prior Experience with Raiser’s Edge or CRM systems is preferred; ability and willingness to learn and master fundraising database is required.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and follow-up items
Comfortable learning new systems and technology
Ability to handle confidential donor and financial information with discretion
Experience with Canva, social media, or email platforms is a plus
Interest in nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and Jewish community building
Positive, collaborative, and proactive mindset
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
This role sits at the operational center of CCRC’s philanthropy work. You will help keep donor information accurate, gifts processed and acknowledged promptly, campaigns organized and tracked, and the development team equipped with the information and systems needed to build strong relationships and grow philanthropic support.*
Behind every strong donor relationship is clear information, timely follow-up, and thoughtful coordination. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys making systems work better and wants to see their behind-the-scenes contributions help more campers, families, and communities experience CCRC.
Philanthropy Operations & Data
Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor, alumni, and constituent records in Raiser’s Edge
Process gifts, acknowledgements, and donor records with a high level of accuracy
Prepare donor reports, mailing lists, campaign tracking, and fundraising analytics
Help maintain organized systems, timelines, and processes across fundraising initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve data quality and streamline philanthropy processes
Campaign & Fundraising Support
Support the planning and execution of annual, special, and targeted fundraising campaigns
Prepare campaign lists, tracking reports, solicitation materials, and follow-up information
Track solicitations, responses, pledges, gifts, and follow-up activity
Assist with donor stewardship and cultivation efforts by preparing information, correspondence, and materials for the development team
Support special fundraising initiatives connected to organizational priorities
Donor Communications & Stewardship
Draft donor correspondence, emails, acknowledgements, newsletters, and campaign materials
Help personalize donor communications and ensure timely follow-up
Partner with the marketing team on donor-facing communications and fundraising initiatives
Help ensure consistent and accurate messaging across philanthropy communications
Events & Development Support
Support the planning and execution of donor events, summer camp visits, and other development experiences
Assist with event invitations, guest lists, registration, logistics, materials, and follow-up
Prepare donor and prospect information for meetings and events
Help create welcoming and thoughtful experiences for supporters and guests
Growth & Collaboration
Work closely with the philanthropy team and senior organizational leadership
Collaborate with finance, marketing, and other teams
Contribute ideas that strengthen fundraising systems, campaigns, and donor stewardship
Participate in special projects that support the organization’s philanthropic goals
Build hands-on experience across multiple areas of nonprofit fundraising and operations
