Job description

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Wound Care Nurse provides skilled clinical care, assessment, and treatment of wounds while supporting interdisciplinary care planning and ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
Responsibilities for Wound Care Nurse:
Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable nursing standards, physician orders, and established care plans.
Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds.
Provide wound care treatments based on resident needs and best clinical practices.
Deliver respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
Provide clinical guidance and direction to members of the nursing and care team.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Ensure resident confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing, prevention strategies, and continuity of care.
Qualifications for Wound Care Nurse:
Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Maryland.
Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home or long-term care setting required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
