ABOUT THE ROLE
The Showroom Associate supports the daily operations of the SSNY showroom, ensuring a seamless and elevated client experience in a luxury trade environment. Serving as a counterpart to the Facilities & Operations Coordinator, this role is responsible for managing sample inventory, fulfilling and shipping requests, and maintaining showroom presentation standards.
This individual will also assist clients as needed with sample orders, stock checks, and order pickups from the NYC showroom. The role requires strong organization, adaptability, and the ability to balance stockroom, operational, and client-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for design and a commitment to exceptional service.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Serve as a reliable counterpart to the Facilities & Operations Coordinator, supporting showroom and 983 building operations
Prepare, fulfill, and ship New York showroom sample requests
Manage memo sample tray inventory and assist with biannual cycle counts
Restock and organize sample inventory, including replenishment stock
Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, including new collections and display items
Manage and facilitate weekly transfer for display stock from the warehouse to the showroom.
Remove discontinued items from inventory and showroom floor, maintaining accurate records
Maintain a clean, organized showroom aligned with luxury presentation standards, including sales tools and displays
File returned samples back into sample room inventory
Partner with the sales team to support operations, enhance client experience, and drive sales
Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and leadership; escalate issues as needed
Manage shipping, receiving, and stock checks accurately and on time
Adapt quickly between stockroom, operational, and client-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Assist clients with sample orders, and pickups with professionalism
Requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Technical Skills
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Applications, Microsoft Outlook Teams, and Zoom
Experience managing email communications & professional correspondence
Soft Skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to work
Professional presentation in personal conduct, work output, and product handling
Interest in interior design, luxury sales, and the trade showroom environment
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
