As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a utility location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorization, and visitor documentation before permitting entry to restricted areas.
Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover visitor badges or credentials, and report discrepancies according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
