Job description

See Your Work in a New Light
At LUX Infusion, we believe infusion and home‑based care deserve more light — more warmth, more clarity, and more connection. Our nursing leaders shape how that belief comes to life every day, ensuring care is safe, compliant, and deeply human.

We’re looking for a Director of Nursing who wants their work to mean something — a senior clinical leader who brings vision, accountability, and compassion to overseeing home health and infusion nursing services.

Why This Role Matters
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the clinical integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence of nursing services across home‑based care programs. This role ensures patients receive consistently high‑quality care while supporting and developing nursing teams across the organization.

In this role, you’ll contribute to work that:

Ensures patients receive safe, effective nursing care in their homes
Builds strong nursing teams grounded in evidence‑based practice and accountability
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards (URAC, ACHC)
Supports a patient‑first, clinician‑led organization focused on outcomes
Strengthens continuity of care through thoughtful clinical leadership
Your leadership sets the standard for how nursing shows up for patients, families, and care partners.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:

Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Nursing Services Department in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as URAC and ACHC accreditation standards
Develop, maintain, and regularly update nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards
Provide oversight for home health nursing services, including subcontracted providers
Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of nursing staff
Oversee nurse competency development, licensure maintenance, and continuing education
Manage nursing department budgets and expenses
Lead quality assurance, performance improvement, and corrective action initiatives
Collaborate with Medical Director and Operations leadership on admissions processes and active patient management
Review patient care plans and clinical records to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
Foster strong coordination between nursing services and other patient care teams
Maintain productive relationships with physicians and referral partners
Serve as a senior clinical escalation point for patient care concerns
Stay current on nursing trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in home and infusion care

What We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you bring:

Strong clinical leadership experience in home health or infusion services
Deep commitment to patient safety, quality, and nurse development
Confidence managing regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness
Strategic thinking paired with operational execution
Clear, professional communication with clinicians, administrators, and partners

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in home care or hospital nursing
Minimum of three (3) years of nursing leadership or management experience
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Willingness to travel up to 50% as required for meetings, training, or oversight

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
Specialty nursing certification
Nurse License Compact eligibility
Working knowledge of home health regulations and accreditation standards
You don’t need to check every box — we care just as much about how you lead, support teams, and advocate for patients as your credentials.
