Job description

Warehouse Manager – Wholesale Supply | Brooklyn, NY · $120K–$150K

About the Role

We're after a leader, not just a floor manager. This is someone who takes full ownership of the operation — spotting problems before they spread, owning the fix, and driving it through without waiting to be told. You'll run the day-to-day from receiving through shipping and keep accuracy tight, but the real mandate is bigger: leading and developing the team, helping bring on and shape new hires, and pulling the most out of every person on the floor. For the right person, this is a role that grows into broader operations management over time.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing, checking, and shipping across the full order flow
  • Keep work accurate and on deadline, preventing receiving and fulfillment backlogs before they start
  • Ensure every order is packed, labeled, and shipped with the correct carrier and method

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, train, and develop the warehouse team, setting clear expectations and leading from the floor
  • Help recruit, onboard, and shape new hires as the operation grows
  • Hold people accountable for productivity and accuracy — and get the most out of every person on the team

Inventory & Accuracy

  • Keep inventory accurate: properly received, stored, rotated, picked, and accounted for
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, shortages, overages, damages, and fulfillment errors
  • Enforce checking procedures and run cycle counts to cut recurring mistakes

Safety & Standards

  • Enforce safety policies and keep the warehouse clean, organized, and efficient
  • Coordinate with management and other departments on operational and shipping issues

Qualifications

  • Hands-on warehouse or operations management experience, ideally in wholesale distribution or fulfillment
  • A real leader — proven ability to manage, train, and develop a team, not just assign tasks
  • Strong command of inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and shipping operations
  • Takes full ownership: anticipates problems, solves them independently, and raises the whole team's performance
  • Growth-minded, with the capability to step into broader operations management over time
