Job description
About the Role
Orchard is seeking a Product Designer to reduce the complexity of a real estate transaction for the agents who run it. You will design the products that help an agent identify the right Orchard products for a customer and present them well, and the products that help an agent manage a pipeline and move to the next right task to close more deals.
You will prototype in AI design systems, not just in Figma. Work starts with the user, and a working flow built in Claude, Codex, or Cursor can be in front of a real agent within days. Figma comes in for systems and polish. You will have direct access to our data and direct access to agents, so you can check an assumption yourself rather than waiting for someone to answer it.
This is a full-time role based out of our growing NYC office (hybrid-schedule), reporting to our Lead Product Designer, who will give you regular feedback on your craft and hand off increasing ownership as you build context on agents, customers and the transaction.
What You’ll Do Here
Design agent-facing features end to end: Partner with product, engineering, and the Lead Product Designer to explore solutions and ship improvements. Stay involved through launch and iteration.
Design for the next action: Help agents see, across a pipeline of live deals, what needs to happen next and why.
Prototype using AI tools: Build working flows in Claude, Codex, or Cursor while guiding structure, behavior, and UX quality. Partner with engineers on what moves into the product.
Learn directly from agents: Sit in on listening sessions and then run your own conversations and quick tests, and adjust direction from what you learn. Treat research as a velocity tool.
Bring work into Figma: Translate validated concepts and workflows into Figma for production readiness
Keep the default path simple for agents and customers while the complexity of a real estate transaction lives under the hood.
We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:
1 to 3 years designing digital products
Interest in internal tools, B2B, or other workflow-heavy systems
Active use of tools such as Claude, Codex, or Cursor in your design workflow
A portfolio that shows strong customer empathy, clear product thinking, and craft, including how you got to the answer and not only the final screens
Curiosity about how design decisions show up in the data, and willingness to look at the data yourself
You take feedback well, ask questions early, and are comfortable saying when you are stuck
Strong written communication
