We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About the role:

As a Regulatory Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the organization navigate an evolving regulatory landscape while supporting the development of a strong risk and compliance culture. Working as a highly visible, enterprise-wide partner, you will monitor regulatory developments, assess business impacts, coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, and support regulatory reviews, audits, and consultations. This role offers broad exposure across the organization, providing a unique opportunity to influence risk and compliance strategy, build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and contribute to a unified regulatory message across the business. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, proactive, and comfortable turning complex regulatory and risk information into clear, actionable insights through reporting, dashboards, and presentations.

About the day-to-day:

Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and assess their implications for the organization.
Support the management of relationships with regulatory bodies by helping prepare for audits, reviews, and regulatory inquiries. Assist in drafting responses, coordinating submissions, and ensuring timely follow-up on all regulatory matters.
Support the development of industry input and responses to regulatory consultations.
Gather and analyze data to support regulatory reviews, and internal audits. Prepare summaries and dashboards for senior review.
Maintain a centralized log of regulatory issues, findings, and commitments. Monitor progress on remediation efforts and escalate delays or risks to resolution.
Maintain organized records of regulatory communications and audit findings to support transparency and compliance.
Prepare clear, data-driven reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders and leadership
Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, or areas of risk exposure and recommend improvements.
Draft and format risk reports, briefing materials, and presentation materials for senior management, incorporating data visualizations and key insights.
In collaboration with the Compliance Team, monitor legal and regulatory environment including review of regulatory announcements, reports, and legislative changes.
Support initiatives aiming at strengthening the risk culture across the organization in partnership with HR.
Develop materials for special projects as requested.

About the qualifications:

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory and financial information and translate it into actionable insights
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
A proactive self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what to do next
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Power BI (or similar BI/data visualization tools) is strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in ambiguous or evolving situations
Ability to work collaboratively across teams while also being comfortable working independently
Knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSFI guidelines) is an asset
Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, business, or a related field.
