Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

7+ years of experience in Database Administration.
Strong Python and Shell scripting skills for automation.
Working knowledge of JIRA, Bitbucket, Git, and Autosys.
Experience with DB2 LUW and DB2 DPF clusters.
Experience with Snowflake database administration.
Knowledge of data migration from on-premises to Snowflake.
Ability to perform basic Sybase database monitoring for on-call rotation.
Experience managing large-scale data archival pipelines.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like VS Code or Copilot is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Provide production Application DBA support to meet high-demand regulatory and reporting requirements.
Perform performance monitoring and tuning across DPF clusters.
Design and execute data purging strategies.
Implement space reclamation strategies for very large tables post-purge.
Manage backup, recovery, upgrade, and disaster recovery planning.
Execute data migrations from DB2 and Greenplum to Snowflake for very large datasets.
Maintain continuous data archival pipelines via SparkSQL-based tooling.
Manage over 700 scheduled jobs per environment using Autosys.
Participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week every 2-3 months.
Operate independently to define and act on tasks based on evolving regulatory needs.
