Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that operational and merchandising needs are seamlessly met to drive optimal demand and growth for Catherines print business. Acting as a liaison between Merchandising and Creative, you will enhance the integration of print and understand digital initiatives for growth. Collaborate with Digital & CRM Teams to understand white space and share business recommendations to drive over all channel performance.This position also engages in product development from concept to production, necessitating collaboration with Merchant and design teams. You will streamline processes across cross-functional teams, allowing merchandising category leads to focus on strategic product development. This position requires strong AI skills and onsite learning to create model assets that will be used Omni for all channels. Strong fashion sensibility required to outfit build, merchandise on figs and catalog creation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seasonal Hindsight:
Present quarterly insights from catalog and digital performance, along with actionable recommendations.
Make strategic recommendations for Book Offers based on analysis of past results and seasonal strengths.
Create and recommend themes, stories and recommend items for the Front Cover, Back Cover, and quarterly planning documents, considering overarching book offers, historical KPIS, Customer response rate and indexing.
Attend all quarterly hindsight meetings at the category level.
Product Development:
Partner with Design and Brand Leader to develop compelling Product Stories each quarter.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of the brand to suggest revitalization strategies for key repeat styles in catalogs. Ensure Key styles are represented and featured with appropriate space
Work with Planning and Merchants to ensure proper items & pricing are built in the book.
Engage in Merchandise Line Plan Building, collaborating with Merchandising teams to refine product assortments based on business insights and best-sellers.
Actively participate in Print/Color Meetings and Line Plan/Handover Meetings to ensure alignment across teams.
Oversee the Buy & Manage Free Gifts Category.
Book Creation:
Facilitate quarterly Hook Up sessions with category teams to ensure cohesive product placement and coordinated color stories.
Develop books that meet page, category, and density targets as established by the brand leader.
Establish a Book sign-off calendar to ensure timely asset handovers to the creative team.
Compile customer, prospect, and repaginated/remixed books, recommending product stories and collaborating with Merch Category leads on color flows for key programs.
Propose new creative layouts , paginations and/ or adjustments based on recent performance insights.
Present Book results and suggestions informed by the latest learnings in milestone meetings to Leadership & CFT Team.
Collaborate with merchants during Pre-Fit and Merchandise Reviews to ensure product accuracy and representation.
Audit all devices post-copy to guarantee optimal customer experience and compelling presentation.
Operations:
Work with Planning to create the Quarterly Planning Deliverables Calendar, ensuring all deliverables are scheduled for Merchandising and Planning teams.
Create and maintain Seasonal Media Plans, partnering with creative operations to ensure production calendars are updated in response to media plan adjustments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS in related field and/or equivalent work experience
7+ Apparel experience (Catalog and/or web) is required
5+ years’ experience managing a high performing environment
Proven track record of driving profitable business expansion
Ability to develop train, and lead
Strong analytical skills required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must
