THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join our team at a National Homebuilder. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and implementation of innovative landscape and community amenity solutions that enhance residential communities nationwide. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and consultants to create attractive, sustainable, and cost-effective environments that support homeowner satisfaction and strengthen community appeal. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the design, functionality, and character of communities while helping bring our brand vision to life.
Responsibilities will include:
• Develop and review landscape concepts for residential communities, amenity centers, parks, trails, streetscapes, and entry features.
• Create landscape themes and design standards that support brand consistency and enhance community appeal.
• Participate in due diligence reviews and site evaluations for potential land acquisitions.
• Collaborate with land development, architecture, construction, marketing, and sales teams throughout the planning and development process.
• Coordinate with consultants, landscape architects, engineers, and public agencies to support project execution and municipal approvals.
• Review plans, specifications, and design documents to ensure compliance with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Support construction teams during project implementation and assist in resolving field-related landscape issues.
• Develop visual presentations, renderings, and exhibits for internal stakeholders and public presentations.
• Promote sustainable landscape practices and research emerging design trends and technologies.
• Assist with budgeting, cost estimating, value engineering initiatives, and management of landscape-related project expenditures.
• Manage multiple projects across various stages of development and geographic markets.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program required.
• Professional Landscape Architect Registration (PLA/RLA) preferred.
• 7-10 years of landscape architecture experience preferred.
• Experience with residential master-planned communities, homebuilding, land development, mixed-use developments, or commercial site design preferred.
• Experience coordinating with public agencies, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of landscape architecture principles, planting design, irrigation systems, grading, hardscape design, and community amenity planning.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Strong project management, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
