What You’ll Do

As Director of Nursing, you will serve as the clinical leader of the facility—overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence in resident care.

Clinical Leadership & Operations

Direct and oversee all nursing services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations

Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff to ensure high performance and accountability

Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident care, staff performance, and overall clinical outcomes

Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet the needs of residents

Quality & Compliance

Maintain survey readiness and oversee plans of correction

Ensure compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and all regulatory standards

Coordinate Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives

Monitor clinical practices to ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion

Resident Care & Coordination

Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of care

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care

Participate in admissions and evaluate prospective residents for appropriate placement

Provide education and support to residents and families as needed

Staff Development & Engagement

Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff

Implement and maintain orientation and ongoing education programs

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed

Promote a positive work environment that supports teamwork and professional growth

Administrative & Financial Oversight

Assist in developing and managing the nursing department budget

Review billing processes, including Medicare-related documentation

Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure proper documentation practices

Update and maintain nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulations

What We’re Looking For

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)

Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider preferred)

Previous Director of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting preferred

Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations

Proven leadership, organizational, and clinical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Commitment to quality care, compliance, and team development
