Description
Showroom Leadership
Lead and manage the Carrie Amber New York showroom as the central hub for customer presentations, market appointments, and brand storytelling.
Ensure the showroom consistently reflects a polished, organized, and elevated presentation of the company’s brands and product assortments.
Oversee showroom readiness for all market appointments, buyer meetings, seasonal reviews, and special presentations.
Partner cross-functionally to ensure samples, line sheets, pricing, merchandising tools, and sales materials are accurate, timely, and customer-ready.
Lead planning and execution for the intimate apparel market cycles in February, May, August, and November, when new seasonal styles are presented to retailers.
Be pivotal in preparing and executing each market by coordinating showroom readiness, sample organization, line presentations, pricing tools, selling materials, and market follow-up to maximize customer engagement and business conversion.
Sales Leadership
Drive revenue growth across assigned off-price and full-price retail accounts through strong relationship management, strategic selling, and consistent follow-through.
Lead account strategy for key retailers, including seasonal opportunities, core replenishment, market recaps, assortment updates, and new business development.
Present, negotiate, and close business while ensuring profitable outcomes aligned with company goals.
Analyze customer performance, sales trends, assortment productivity, margin, and inventory flow to identify opportunities and risks.
Current Retailer and Weekly Customer Management
Serve as a highly responsive point of contact for current retailers, recognizing that customers are going to market on a continual basis and require consistent weekly partnership.
Maintain regular weekly communication with assigned retailers to support immediate selling needs, new opportunities, follow-up requests, product updates, and in-season business decisions.
Ensure timely response and follow-through on retailer asks, reorders, sample requests, pricing needs, inventory opportunities, and presentation updates.
Support retailers with a high level of urgency as their businesses move quickly and require ongoing merchandise direction and service.
Anticipate customer needs by staying close to their market cadence, timing, and evolving assortment requirements.
Collaborate consistently with the Los Angeles sales account team and leadership to drive strong execution, alignment, and customer business growth.
Ensure that each customer’s business is valued, supported, and deepened through thoughtful partnership, consistent follow-through, and strategic attention to long-term opportunity.
Customer Engagement and Partnership
Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, assistant buyers, and retail partners across the off-price and full-price intimate apparel market.
Understand each customer’s business model, pricing architecture, competitive landscape, calendar, and product needs.
Act as a trusted business partner by bringing insight, ideas, and merchandise solutions that support retailer success and Carrie Amber growth.
Merchandise and Brand Collaboration
Partner with merchandising, design, and production teams to shape assortments that are commercially viable and aligned with customer demand.
Provide market feedback on trends, pricing, item performance, competition, and whitespace opportunities.
Support brand-right product decisions across Carrie Amber’s portfolio, ensuring positioning is clear and assortments are tailored by retailer and channel.
Operational Excellence
Maintain strong discipline around order follow-up, sample management, customer communication, account recaps, and internal coordination.
Ensure account activity is supported by accurate reporting, timely follow-up, and clear action plans.
Partner with operations, production, and planning teams to support smooth execution from order placement through delivery.
Qualifications
7+ years of sales, showroom, or account management experience in apparel, intimate apparel, or related categories.
Strong experience in the off-price channel required; experience with full-price retailers strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of merchandising, pricing, margin, sell-through, and assortment productivity.
Highly organized with strong follow-up and execution discipline.
