Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Digital Media Producer.

The Visual Production team within NYU Langone Healths Department of Communications, Marketing, Government and Community Affairs seeks a highly skilled Visual Producer elevate the institutions video and photographic storytelling across digital and enterprise platforms.
Reporting to the Director of Visual Production, this role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent, high-quality visual output at scale, supporting initiatives that advance NYU Langones mission in patient care, research, and education. The position combines hands-on production expertise with operational efficiency, helping to streamline workflows and optimize internal production capabilities.
With your experience as a DP (director of photography) the ideal Visual Producer candidate brings a strong cinematic eye, technical excellence, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with producers, fellow creatives, and communications partners to conceptualize and execute visual stories that inform and inspire.
Capture high-quality photography and video that advance NYU Langones brand and mission across websites, social media, and enterprise campaigns.
Perform all aspects of the production process, with an emphasis on pre-production planning, on-site capture, lighting, sound recording.
Though the primary focus on the role is on shooting, the ideal candidate will be capable of editing short and long form video content in multiple formats and aspect ratios for various platforms (web, social, internal, and broadcast).
Assist in maintaining and managing production gear, lighting kits, and studio equipment.
Serve as an all-around team player who contributes to a collaborative, respectful, and solution-oriented culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in photography, film, communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
8 years of professional experience in photography and videography healthcare, higher education, media, or agency settings
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and After Effects
A robust and diverse portfolio of work that demonstrates a range of shooting skills
Highly personable, refined communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
Experience in producing stories from concept to completion, with an emphasis on client and team collaboration.
Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and sound recording for both controlled and documentary-style environments.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of professional experience in photography and videography healthcare, higher education, media, or agency settings
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
