Principal Responsibilities:

Objective: To create engaging, high-quality visual materials that reflect the JCC brand and help tell the story of our programs, people, and community across print and digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce JCC marketing materials including program flyers and posters, social media and email graphics, digital signage, program guides, event collateral, website graphics, and other creative assets
  • Implement and adhere to established JCC brand and visual guidelines, ensuring consistency across print and digital channels
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Director and departments across the JCC to translate marketing needs into effective, engaging design
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, quality, and attention to detail
  • Prepare production-ready files and coordinate with print vendors as needed
  • Resize and adapt creative materials across multiple platforms and formats
  • Provide occasional photography and video content capture to support JCC marketing efforts
  • Stay current on design trends, tools, and best practices
  • Attend meetings and JCC events as requested and appropriate to the position
  • Contribute to additional creative projects and marketing initiatives as needed to support the JCC and its programs

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of professional graphic design experience preferred
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong print and digital design skills required
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of print production and preparing production-ready files
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team
  • Creative, flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable receiving and incorporating feedback
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A sense of humor and a willingness to jump in as part of a busy, community-focused team

A degree in graphic design is preferred; however, demonstrated design ability, professional experience, and a strong portfolio are most important.
