Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a strong combination of long-term care Medicaid knowledge and sales ability.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who knows Medicaid well, loves working with people, and is confident turning conversations into committed clients.

You should have:

  • Hands-on experience with Medicaid, Medicaid Pending, Medicaid intake, Medicaid case management, or a related Medicaid-focused role
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care Medicaid, including spend-downs, asset eligibility, five-year look-back rules, and application requirements
  • Experience in sales, admissions, intake, client conversion, or another client-facing role
  • Strong sales instincts and the confidence to ask for the commitment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex Medicaid concepts clearly
  • A warm, empathetic approach when speaking with families
  • Strong follow-up, organization, and attention to detail
  • A results-driven personality and comfort working toward sales and conversion goals

The Opportunity

Do you know long-term care Medicaid inside and out—but also love working with people?

SPS is looking for an experienced Medicaid professional who can combine deep industry knowledge with strong communication, relationship-building, and sales skills.

You'll work with warm, qualified referrals from skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and long-term care providers. These are families who already have a need for Medicaid assistance.

Your role is to understand their situation, educate them on the Medicaid process, explain how SPS can help, address their concerns, and confidently guide them toward moving forward with our services.

This is not a cold-calling role, and it is not a traditional Medicaid processing position.

It's a consultative sales role for someone who can combine Medicaid expertise with empathy, confidence, persistence, and the ability to close.

What You'll Do

  • Work with warm, inbound referrals from skilled nursing facilities and long-term care providers
  • Speak directly with families about their Medicaid and financial needs
  • Explain long-term care Medicaid requirements, including spend-downs, asset eligibility, five-year look-back rules, and application requirements
  • Educate families on SPS's services and the value we provide
  • Build trust quickly during sensitive and often stressful situations
  • Confidently answer questions, address concerns, and overcome objections
  • Convert qualified referrals into clients
  • Consistently follow up with prospective clients and take ownership of your pipeline
  • Document client interactions and activity accurately in the CRM
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless handoff once a client moves forward
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and conversion goals

The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here

You're knowledgeable enough about Medicaid that families can trust you, but personable enough that they actually want to talk to you.

You're compassionate without being passive and persuasive without being pushy.

You're also a strong follow-upper. If a qualified family isn't ready to move forward today, you stay on top of the opportunity rather than letting it disappear.

Most importantly, you enjoy both sides of the job: helping families navigate an overwhelming situation and working toward measurable sales results.
