Job description
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented part-time assistant to support our growing freight forwarding operations. In this role, you will play a key part in assisting clients with shipment inquiries, preparing competitive door-to-door quotes, and ensuring a seamless shipping experience across multiple transport modes.
This position is approximately 10 hours per week with room for growth. Full training on our internal systems and processes will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Quote Preparation: Prepare accurate door-to-door quotes outlining total landed costs, pricing, and available departure and arrival schedules.
Client Support:
Respond to client inquiries regarding pricing, booking status, scheduling, and logistics requirements for ports of origin and destination.
Multi-Modal Coordination:
Assist with shipment details across various modes of transport, including Full Container Load (FCL), Less-than-Container Load (LCL), Air Freight, Courier, Trucking, and Rail.
Administrative Operations:
Maintain organized shipping records, update internal logs, and draft professional email communications.
Qualifications & Requirements
Located in the United States (U.S. Only).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer care.
High level of attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
