Job description
We are seeking a part-time Radiography Instructor who will provide didactic instruction and clinical supervision of radiography students while on clinical assignment.
This is a part-time hourly position.
Examples of Duties:
Conduct clinical site orientation at the clinical education center.
Track student clinical progress and provide feedback to students in a timely manner.
Supervise radiography students performing patient care tasks in the clinical setting.
Equitably prepare a semester schedule of room assignments that provide students with the opportunity to meet clinical objectives.
Provide direct or indirect supervision of students performing radiography procedures.
Prepare, discuss, and submit a signed midterm and final evaluation of each student on the specified due date each semester.
Conduct image evaluation sessions with students following performance of radiographic procedures.
Maintain electronic clinical competency records for all students.
Enforce program and clinical education center policies equitably and consistently.
Alert students and program officials of any clinical deficiencies and conduct conference with the student to address the deficiency, through mechanisms established by the program.
Integrate classroom and clinical experiences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Diagnostic Radiography license.
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography
Minimum 2 years experience as diagnostic radiographer.
Teaching in a clinical setting preferred.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay for this position is $50.
