How you make a difference

The Account Support Specialist provides operational and administrative support for assigned Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) accounts. This role coordinates patient scheduling, referral management, medical records administration, and data maintenance to support daily account operations. Working closely with the Account Manager, the position helps ensure referrals are processed accurately, appointments are scheduled timely, and required documentation is maintained in accordance with contractual and operational requirements. The Account Support Specialist also serves as backup support for the Account Manager to help maintain continuity of service and client support.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Account Manager in the daily administration and operation of assigned FBOP accounts.
Coordinate patient referrals, appointment scheduling, and clinic activities while ensuring contractual turnaround times are met.
Enter, update, and maintain referral, appointment, and patient information within BATCH and other operational systems.
Obtain, organize, track, and distribute medical records and required documentation from community providers and healthcare facilities.
Provide administrative support through data entry, reporting, record maintenance, quality checks, issue escalation, and operational coverage during Account Manager absences.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

College degree or related experience.
Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
Experience

Two (2) or more years of experience in healthcare scheduling, medical records, referral coordination, medical office administration, or a related healthcare support role.
Experience working with electronic scheduling systems, EMRs, or healthcare operational software preferred.
Experience in correctional healthcare or managed care is preferred but not required.
Licenses/Certifications

None required.
