Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Handle local and national accounts throughout the State of California.
Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
Conduct and defend depositions.
Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
Review and analyze discovery requests and responses.
Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings.
Take lead roles in plaintiff and expert witness depositions.
Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members to develop case strategy.
Maintain accurate and timely billing and time records.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas:
Construction Defect
General Liability
Product Liability
Other comparable civil defense litigation experience
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in California and in good standing.
Experience handling all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
