Payroll Assistant — Growing Multi-State Healthcare Company Woodcliff Lake

We're a growing multi-state healthcare company with a corporate office in the Woodcliff Lake/Montvale area, and we're looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Payroll Assistant to join our team.

What You'll Do
· Assist with processing weekly payroll for a growing multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy of hours, pay rates, and deductions
· Review and verify timesheets prior to payroll processing
· Support new hire payroll setup and HRIS system data entry
· Respond to employee payroll inquiries, researching and resolving discrepancies with professionalism and care
· Maintain accurate, organized payroll records and support compliance with wage-and-hour regulations
· Assist with deductions, garnishments, and benefits-related payroll adjustments
· Support month-end and year-end payroll reporting, including W-2 preparation
· Collaborate with Finance and HR on audits, reporting, and process improvements as we continue to grow

· Starting salary of $30-$38/ hour, depending on experience

What We're Looking For
· 1–2 years of payroll, bookkeeping, or related administrative/accounting experience preferred
