A CASAC-T interviews clients referred to by New York City’s HRA, applying clinical judgment to determine appropriate treatment needs and levels of care. Work with a variety of clients and interact with treatment providers daily. Under the supervision of a CASAC Supervisor you will link individuals to chemical dependency treatment and harm reduction programs and also review progress to assist clients in recovery, leading to self-sufficiency.
Conduct one on one assessments on HRA-identified applicants and recipients
Determine if treatment is needed
Make clinical recommendations for treatment referrals under CASAC supervision
Qualifications:
Must have an active NYS CASAC-Trainee credential
Be CASAC- Exam-ready with all but 1000 or less work experience hours completed (5000 out of the 6000 required hours must be completed)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a substance use treatment setting
High school degree is required, Bachelors is preferred
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
