MEP Engineer

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office
Compensation: $140K+ DOE

The Opportunity

A growing company is looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to join its team and take ownership of MEP design, coordination, and NYC DOB requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, sprinkler, and building systems, along with experience navigating DOB filings, approvals, and objections.

What You'll Do

• Design, review, and coordinate MEP systems for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage NYC DOB filings, approvals, and objections.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, expeditors, and project teams.
• Ensure designs meet NYC codes and regulatory requirements.
• Review plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot design and field issues throughout the project.
• Manage multiple projects while keeping schedules and deadlines on track.

What We're Looking For

• Several years of MEP engineering experience required.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and sprinkler systems.
• Strong NYC DOB filing and objection experience required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
